Activities Coordinator – Permanent
Ropata Lodge is a privately owned aged care facility located in central Lower Hutt. Ropata Lodge currently offers serviced apartments where we provide the opportunity for our residents to live independently but with the knowledge that their security, wellbeing and health are being looked after.
We are currently seeking an Activities Coordinator to join our team. This position is a sole-charge position for a Monday to Friday shift. Hours will be discussed with the successful applicant.
You will need to have the following attributes:
- Certificate in Diversional Therapy preferred but not essential as training will be provided;
- Have good general knowledge of promoting activities;
- Have good knowledge and understanding of care plans and residents assessments;
- Must have a Full clean Drivers Licence;
- Great organisational and planning skills are essential;
- Have excellent time management skills;
- Be able to work as an effective member of a team but also able to work independently;
- Have a good work ethic and initiative;
- Be an effective communicator;
- Be honest and reliable; and
- Have a good health record.
- First Aid Certificate would be an advantage but not essential
