1.0FTE (80 hours per fortnight)
Community Allied Health has an exciting opportunity for a full time Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. The role will be in a community setting providing assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders for adults.
The position would suit a clinician with previous community experience.
You will need a sound knowledge of the use of informal and formal assessment tools, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work well within a team to achieve client and Whanau focused goals, and a focus on evidence based practice.
The successful candidate will need:
- to be eligible for New Zealand Speech Therapy Association (NZSTA) membership
- a Bachelor or Master degree in Speech Language Therapy from an NZSTA-accredited programme; or have had your qualifications approved by the NZSTA
- experience performing and interpreting video fluoroscopy swallowing studies
- experience working within a multi-disciplinary team working towards patient focused goals
- a current valid full New Zealand driver’s licence
