We are looking for a passionate Senior Clinical Pharmacist to work in collaboration with our clinical pharmacy team to deliver high quality Clinical Pharmacy services. We provide support to specified clinical areas (orthopaedic, cardiac, general surgery) at Mercy and Ascot Hospitals and your expertise and experience will also be utilised providing support to our patients and the wider pharmacy team.

Responsibilities include medication histories, medicines reconciliation, clinical interventions and patient counselling.

You will have opportunities to participate in specified portfolios, committees, quality activities or projects. As a senior clinical pharmacist you will have the opportunity to lead these activities, together with the responsibility for co-ordinating education of the newer clinical pharmacists and pharmacy students.

This position is fulltime (40 hours per week) Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7.30am and 4pm. Participation in the on-call and weekend rosters and support of the dispensary and overall pharmacy objectives is required.

As our successful candidate you will;

  • Have a desire to work in a positive, forward thinking organisation where the company values are alive and visible
  • Have at least 3 years of Clinical Pharmacy experience, across a variety of specialties
  • A post-graduate clinical qualification at the diploma level is an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve Clinical Pharmacy KPIs such as Medicines Reconciliation targets and deliver on projects
  • Ability to engage and work effectively at the senior clinician level
  • Have well developed communication, time management and computer skills
  • Be systems oriented, highly organised and demonstrate an excellent level of professionalism

You must be a qualified and NZ registered (or in process of gaining NZ registration) pharmacist.
