About the role
As a Policy Advisor in the Regulatory Frameworks team you will be responsible for pro-actively building trusting relationships within WorkSafe, with the focus on developing proposals and advice to influence the regulatory framework that WorkSafe operates within. You will work closely with MBIE and operational teams to do this and ensure WorkSafe's legislative framework is effectively implemented. The role will involve translating organisational purpose and intent into clearly defined proposals for regulatory change.
Duties
- Provide advice on legislation and policy to ensure good practice outcomes are implemented
- Support team members on larger projects
Skills & Experience
- Relevant experience and strong track record in a policy environment - experience could include policy projects, operational policy or service design for example.
- Proven ability to engage in a professional manner, and be able to build credibility and trust with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability and proven track record in being able to influence and negotiate.
- Strong listening and writing skills.
- A real passion and desire to enhance your skill set in the regulatory environment.
