Fixed term for five months
We are seeking a Therapies Assistant for Hawke's Bay who shares our values of He kauanuanu - Respect, Ākina - Improvement, Rāranga te tira - Teamwork and Tauwhiro - Care.
The Occupational Therapy Team enable people to leave the hospital with the confidence and the functional support required to live well at home. This can include equipment and other resources to ensure safe transition from hospital to stay safe in the community.
We are seeking a confident communicator, with the ability to negotiate. You will enable people to be passionate about providing exceptional high quality services. You will be able to work on the wards and in the community independently, have a high level of computer literacy and be physically fit. The position requires practical support skills, knowledge of basic health practice and a willingness to work in a team.
Ideally you will have experience within the health sector with desirable health related education. Either Level 3 or 4 Health and Wellness, Aged Care or support of the Older Persons NZQA qualifications.
Our District Health Board is large enough to provide variety and depth of work experience, with good support and supervision, yet small enough to be a friendly team with good social interaction.
