About the role

The Regulatory Intelligence Unit has a permanent opportunity for a highly motivated Business Analyst with excellent technical skills.  This role contributes to improving the analysis capability within WorkSafe New Zealand.  You will have a hand in supporting the business in identifying opportunities for effectively addressing non-compliance and maximising compliance within workplace health and safety.

As the Business Analyst you will be responsible for the collection, collation, analysis and dissemination of all available data and information that supports the planning, monitoring and service delivery functions of the organisation. As a member of the Regulatory Intelligence unit you will use your previous experience to review analytical methods in use and identify improvements.

Duties

  • Produce internal and external reports on health and safety data
  • Build dashboards for other parts of the business within WorkSafe
  • Support intelligence and advanced analytic products within the team
  • Lead certain pieced of development work
  • Engage with our clients
  • Carry out work on OIAs

Skills & Experience

  • SAS coding experience
  • Knowledge and experience of dashboard design using SAS VA or other tools
  • Ability to use software packages including word processing and analytical tools
  • Experience with data report processes
  • Proven ability to clearly present analysis and ideas on paper, to write succinctly and think critically about an issue, with any implications made explicit
  • Previous experience of delivering culturally sensitive reports/projects is preferable
