This well-known NZ brand is currently hiring an Electronics Engineer to join their R&D team. You'll be part of the talented and experienced hardware engineers team and you will work very closely with cross-functional engineering teams to design and develop innovative high-tech electronic products.

Your role will be diverse, and your responsibilities will be broad as you immerse yourself and utilise your electronic hardware design skills across the full spectrum of electronic product development.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop design solutions in accordance with requirements to deliver robust and useable designs for rugged electronic products
- Create circuit designs and supporting calculations
- Design multi-layer PCB’s for mixed signal (analogue and digital) circuits
- Generate circuit schematics using Altium Designer (or another similar tool)
- Construct test units and prototypes, including embedded prototypes and pre-production runs of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA)
- Interact with customers where necessary to understand their needs
- Support other R&D team members, including peer reviewing and mentoring for junior engineers
Technical skills required to be a success:
- BE/ME in Electronic Engineering or related
- Understanding of manufacturing and product development processes
- 3-5+ years practical design experience developing electronic products and introducing them into production
- Experience in the design of microcontroller based electronic products
- Experience in designing multi-layer PCB’s for mixed signal (analogue and digital)
- Understanding of modern design and manufacturing principles and tools such as Lean manufacturing and/or Lean product development
- RF design experience (desirable)
