The Opportunity
Due to expansion, our team is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer with the ability to contribute across all geotechnical projects ensuring that geotechnical risks are monitored, understood and managed.
Although the role is based in Hawkes Bay, travel goes with the territory and we also have sites in Wellington and the Philippines to meet the various locations of our clients and projects.
What the Role Entails
- Geotechnical assessments and input into feasibility studies including geotechnical hazards, factors and assessments
- Design and modelling for geological aspects of engineering projects
- Field investigations and the preparation of geotechnical data/modelling
- Providing oversight of third party contract work
About You
Our ideal candidate will need to demonstrate the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Civil, or Mining Engineering and/or Post Graduate Geotechnical / Rock Mechanics
- Extensive geotechnical consulting experience on large scale multi-disciplinary projects
- Sound knowledge of geotechnical hazard and risk assessments and their application
- Team player with great communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and accurately
- Desire to be involved in a supportive and respectful professional journey
- Commitment to professional development
