Due to continued growth, our clients progressive multi disciplinary consultancy is seeking to appoint a high caliber Civil Engineer with proven land development & civil engineering design capability. Ideally the successful candidate will have local government infrastructure engineering experience and an interest in furthering their skills and expertise in Geotechnical Engineering. 
  
Combining your technical expertise with the ability to take control of assignments, managing individual projects and liaising directly with clients, council and contractors will be key requirements for this role. As such you will have knowledge of the full range of activities involved in undertaking land development and infrastructure projects. You will be a confident, ambitious person who is looking for the opportunity to "break the shackles" and make inroads with your career!

Desired skills, attributes & experience
 

• An industry recognised Civil Engineering Qualification - CPENG or NZCE 
• Proven land development & civil engineering design capaility
• Excellent computer skills with a working knowledge of industry accepted software (eg CivilCAD, 12 D, MS Office, Excel)
• Experience in earthworks, road, drainage and subdivision design
• Experience in construction supervision, administration, project management and report writing
• A team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in overseeing design projects (including financial management)
• Team leadership experience with an interest in developing and mentoring junior members
• Confidence to liaise with clients, councils and other stake holders
