RCR Infrastructure currently has a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team based out of our Mt Wellington, Auckland branch.
This new role is responsible for providing high quality service to our customers which includes estimating and the design of mechanical and projects in a professional manner. We require our mechanical engineer to deliver exceptional service, communication, influential and sales skills as they will be working with other estimators and bid managers on larger projects so proven experience in this field is a must!
Primary responsibilities of the role include:
- Preparing project proposals in accordance with RCR standards and client specifications
- Reviewing and analysing tender specifications, drawings etc to prepare cost estimates and sales submissions
- Estimation and design of projects and other mechanical projects
- Working closely with other estimators and bid managers
- Providing advice and support to the manager and perform any duties as required
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Draftsperson
- Experience in Autocad
- Estimating experience in the HVAC Mechanical industry with a capacity to negotiate.
- Excellent communication skills
- Formal presentation experience
- Experience in computer based estimating techniques
- Current Drivers License
- Advanced MS Office Skills (including MS Word, Excel and Power Point)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Previous experience with Mechanical design and layout.
- Contributes to the team
The mechanical engineer is a professional that must be tertiary qualified in the applicable field and have relevant work experience.
