Based in Newmarket, our water supply team have a vacancy for a Process Engineer, this would be a role well suited to an engineer with several years of water treatment design experience seeking to augment that with operational experience.

As a Process Engineer, you will be involved in work ranging from hands-on operational trouble-shooting to initiating, delivering, and commissioning of small improvement projects. Other duties include:

• Providing technical support
• Conducting process analysis and develop specific test methodologies for process optimisation
• Trouble-shooting plant issues affecting process performance
• Reviewing planning investigation briefs and consultant submissions
• Providing operational information
• Delivering small improvement works
• Participating in an out-of-hours callout roster, which provides emergency coverage when the water treatment plants are unmanned

Although this role will be based at our Head Office in Newmarket, you will be spending the majority of your time at the water treatment plants, thereby providing a great balance of office and site work.

The preferred requirements for this role are:

• A Washington Accord accredited Bachelor's degree in Chemical and Materials Engineering or Civil Engineering
• 2 - 4 Years' experience in a role related to water treatment
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills
• Experience in data analysis, plant processes, and report preparation
• Experience with the HAZOP process and writing functional descriptions
