New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing (NZTR) is the governing body for New Zealand thoroughbred racing. We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to provide analytical and reporting services on racing specific data and to support business units with funding policy metrics.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an ability to analyse, interpret and present financial and statistical information so that it is easily understood. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a high level of accounting or data and statistical knowledge and an ability to deliver results efficiently and effectively. They will also have an ability to understand the structure of the racing industry and its interconnected organisations and participants.
You will be responsible for:
- Deriving insights from clubs, racing and customer data to inform good-decision making in line with business strategy
- Providing support in the collation and analysis of betting data from all wagering operators approved to bet on NZ Thoroughbred racing
- Providing analysis, interpretation and insights for a number of reporting requirements
- Delivering results that are accurate and well-articulated
- Providing support in the development and delivery of projects.
Candidates should have at least 3 years’ experience working in a similar or same position and hold a relevant tertiary qualification. They must also have excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal and excellent time management skills.
