Bloxam Burnett & Olliver (BBO) is experiencing considerable growth with significant national projects and programmes typically in the civil, transportation and bridge engineering sectors.
To meet demand for its services, BBO is recruiting a Senior Bridge Design Engineer to provide direction and leadership on a variety of bridge and other related civil structural projects.
The Challenge
- Investigate and prepare or oversee design briefs for projects.
- Deliver innovative, robust, technically competent designs and contract documentation.
- Mentor and guide others, and provide technical direction and input.
- Bring project management rigor to those projects you are managing.
- Represent the business to clients, provide excellent client service, promote technical capabilities and services, and get involved in bids and proposals.
- Be part of a close knit team with the view to taking a senior role.
Your Skills
- Hold a BE Civil and preferably be Chartered.
- 10 years minimum relevant experience working on bridges and/or similar projects.
- Practical knowledge of design codes and standards, and legislation and construction practices in New Zealand.
- Client management and commercial skills.
