The opportunity
Stantec is a world leader in environmental management, water cycle management in mining and mining technologies, in addition to water, wastewater engineering, asset management, transportation, energy and technology.
Due to the increase in size of the Auckland Transportation team as TDG joins Stantec, we need a Design and Delivery Team Lead who will co-ordinate the activities of the design and delivery sub-team across the Auckland offices and assist the Auckland Transportation Leader in effectively leading and managing the Auckland Transport group.
Key aspects of the role include:
• Ensure the Design and Delivery sub-team resources are optimally utilised, with the right person for the right job.
• Ensure the sub-team meets (or exceeds) its financial performance targets
• Provide technical direction and coaching to staff.
• Assist the Auckland Transportation Leader to coordinate mentoring and support to retain staff
• Co-ordinate project resources in liaison with Project Managers, Team Leaders and Group Managers.
• Clearly understand the strategic objectives of new and existing clients to undertake business development and identify new opportunities
You will have at least 8+ years relevant experience in the transportation field, particularly in transport design and delivery, as well as proven revenue generation, strong client relationships and demonstrated knowledge of business and project finances.
