We have a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team based at our Production & Distribution site in Auckland, New Zealand.
Reporting to the North Island Operations Manager, we are looking for a motivated, driven and technically savvy person with exceptional leadership skills to join our Engineering Team.
The role will be responsible for delivering all maintenance and operations support to the business by leading a team that is responsible for maintenance and repairs and ensuring resource utilisation across the site.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and proactive problem solver. They will have experience leading engineering teams in a production and distribution environment, with the ability to work with a diverse range of people, solve problems and improve processes.
We are looking for someone who can drive a culture of exceptionally high performance, quality and safety.
This role is full-time working the core business hours, however flexibility is key to this role as occasional afternoon and weekend work is required.
Essential Skill Set:
- Experience effectively leading a team
- Experience with bottling and packaging machinery
- Relevant engineering qualification
- Sound knowledge and application of workplace health & safety regulations
- Demonstrated ability to identify faults through the use of fault finding techniques
- Experience in the prompt rectification of production breakdowns
- Proven ability to deliver results to the business with the required time and of the utmost quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication
