Downer’s surfacing division is highly respected and has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work.  We have a full time position available in Wellington an individual with exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering results.

Your days will be busy leading the crew doing reseals, first coats and various projects around the Wellington region.  This ‘hands on’ role will require you to provide leadership by planning, providing direction and controlling activities whilst working alongside the team in the field.

You will be expected to ensure that work is completed to the satisfaction of our customers and that all Zero Harm and production targets are met.

About you:

To be successful in this challenging and exciting role you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:-

• Previous experience in the supervision of Civil projects including road maintenance
• Team leadership experience and motivation skills to lead a small team
• Demonstrated ability and motivation to work safely and be responsible for safe operation of sites
• Excellent communication skills including willingness to participate in business improvement and training
• Have a strong customer and commercial awareness on site
• A flexible work approach, as no two days are the same
