- Piping experience is a must!
With a shortage of candidates and a vacancy of positions, this national presence is on the lookout for an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager to handle projects for their Tauranga branch and surrounding areas.
You will have a sound understanding of Mild Steel, Stainless and Aluminium, Mobile Plant, Industrial Machinery, Machining, Welding, Oxy Cutting, Assembly of Mechanical Components, Pipe Work, Fitting, Custom Designing and QA Checking/Reporting.
Your duties will have you looking after the overall planning, implementation and examination of projects against the specified targets. You may need to assist tradespeople at times with maintenance, repair and installation in the designated area of responsibility.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Measuring project performance using necessary systems, tools and techniques
- Reporting and escalating to management where needed
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders
- Create and assemble a detailed project plan
- Manage the relationship with all clients and stakeholders
- Carry out risk assessments to minimize risk
The successful candidate will need:
- Experience of using Inventor and AutoCAD
- Competent in using Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Full and Clean Drivers License
- Blue or White Card
- Commitment to best safety practice
As a committed and passionate candidate, you will need finely honed people and relationship building skills with good fault finding and problem solving skills with a direct focus on safety in the workplace.
