Professional project management outfit delivering Civil/Construction projects nationwide are in need of a high performing Senior Project Manager to deliver a wide variety of civil projects across the Wellington region.

Our client has made a name as a highly successful and professional project management outfit consistently delivering stand out projects nationwide. They have a huge forward work order book in NZ with access to the largest projects. Typically, they manage some of the highest profile and complex projects in NZ, ranging from new rail & road infrastructure, new marine & port facilities, land development infrastructure and much more.

This opportunity will ideally suit a Project Manager or Senior Civil Engineer who has experience in civil infrastructure schemes of works, managing all stages of civil projects from a client side, including design, procurement, project delivery and close out. This role will include a mixture of office and site based works and may often see the successful person working out of client offices for periods of time. If you are a Senior Engineer and feel your career is more suited to project management with a dedicated PM team than engineering design, then this is possibly the best opportunity to do this. Alternatively, you could be a Civil PM now on the main contractor side, sick of working 60+ hours a week and weekends and have the client facing personality to make the transition. Either way, this is a rare opportunity with one of NZ’s leading project management organisations in serious growth mode. The successful applicant will have the following attributes: 

• Work history of delivering projects in New Zealand, ideally from client or consultant side but contractor side will be considered
• A relevant tertiary qualification BEng etc.
• A expert understanding of NZ3910 & ideally experience in acting as Engineer to Contract or Client Site Representative and exposure to design or design management
• A minimum of 5 years having worked as a Civil Engineer/Project Manager across a number of projects
• Experience with Project Management processes, design outputs, tender documentation and site supervision
