  • We have a full time permanent role at Scion's Rotorua campus

We are looking to expand our small but close-knit team and need a Buildings Supervisor who will report to the Facilities and Assets Manager. The key responsibility of this role is to oversee and ensure the safety, compliance and maintenance of Scion buildings and property at our Rotorua Campus. Aspects of the role include:

  • Occupant and visitor safety: Oversee security and fire prevention systems in buildings, ensuring they are maintained, compliant and operational
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs to buildings and outsourcing more complex tasks.
  • Being responsible for the scheduled works and updating of the building maintenance schedules
  • Coordinating and overseeing the cosmetic aspects of buildings and grounds such as painting, landscaping, tree maintenance and similar tasks
  • Overseeing waste recycling and disposals with proven efforts to reduce landfill
  • Assisting with delivery of building projects as technical lead, reviewing plans and specifications, including collaborating with engineers, designers and internal user groups
  • Actively participating in the facilities rostered on call response programme
  • Carrying out all work practices safely and in compliance with Scion's H & S Policy.

This is a hands-on supervisory role and we are looking for a highly organised, proactive and results driven individual. As the leader of a small team you must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable communicating with people from all walks of life.

A trade qualification in building or technical areas and previous experience in building management, engineering or construction work environment with exposure to plant and equipment maintenance is essential.
