Armstrong Downes Commercial is an award winning private, owner-led, tier two construction company that strives for excellence in construction and health and safety. We are based in Lower Hutt and cover the greater Wellington region. Our projects range from $1 million - $30 million plus.

The Commercial Manager is a key contributor to our leadership team. You will play a pivotal role in the growth and development of Armstrong Downes Commercial resulting in the strengthening of our market position by:
- Securing new avenues of business and identifying opportunities the company can capitalise on
- Maximising profitability across all projects
- Retaining, growing and mentoring the QS team
- Providing commercially astute advice
- Maximising opportunity and mitigating risk utilising your strong knowledge of contractual law
- Providing support and effective advice on project control, variations and commercial considerations of managing projects.
- Ensuring strong project cash flows
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary level relevant construction industry qualification
- Minimum 15 years construction industry experience
- Highly regarded within the construction industry with extensive local networks
- Significant experience on large commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of construction and contract law
- Highly experienced in estimating and quantity surveying
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
