The Opportunity
We have an immediate opportunity for a Drainage Department Manager to join our highly motivated Construction team. You will be based in the heart of Hamilton and be working closely with the Divisional Manager and Foreman, ensuring that health and safety standards are adhered too.
Your key focus will be on job pricing, monitoring progress of construction works, managing drainage crew and costs, financial performance and ensuring the appropriate methodologies are all in place. The variety and pace of this role will continually challenge you along with having exposure to small and major projects utilising your proven leadership experience.
The Candidate
The following skills and attributes are also required:
- BE or NZCE equivalent qualification;
- Minimum 2 years engineering experience in roading construction;
- Experience in managing a crew;
- Commercial cost/control experience;
- Strong focus on health and safety;
- Demonstrated effective leadership and communication skills;
- Team orientated;
- Full NZ class 1 license.
