We are looking for an experienced and responsible construction estimator in Auckland. This is full-time position.

Roles and Job Responsibilities

• Estimating, reviewing and controlling construction costs by collecting and organizing information.
• Preparing and completing the budget for projects, identifying costs for each elevation, updating specifications
• Monitoring progress, requisition of changing orders and identifying potential risks
• Communicating with team members and trade partners about the current and new projects
• Evaluating offers to purchasing by site requirements and costing changes
• Identifying qualified vendors and subcontractors, obtaining bids by specifying materials and maintaining working relationships with them
• Maintaining and providing price masters and cost keys for material and labour costing by updating information
• Formulating cost breakdown for project progress from estimates
• Resolving cost discrepancies
• Supervising the site and put the rules for the safety
• Arranging the equipment hire if it is required and plan the safety rules for the operation of the equipment 
• Ensuring timely completion of estimates
• Maintaining quality service, continuity among local work teams and corporate by recording and communicating continuing needs, actions and irregularities
• Meeting with potential customers to discuss options for proposed services
• Maintaining technical and professional knowledge, for example by establishing personal networks, attending educational workshops and professional societies and reviewing professional publications.
• Contributing to the team’s effort by managing related results as needed.

• Being able to develop cost estimates
• Being able to read architectural plans
• Being able to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Problem-solving skills

-At least 3 years of relevant work experience required

-Relevant qualification is preferred
