An established and reputable national construction contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join them working on projects across the health, education, commercial, retail and primary industries in Auckland.
This position is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a busy, growing company in a newly created position.
There is no better time to move to the city than now - with the construction industry booming and a huge range of complex and interesting projects available!
In this role you will be responsible for running commercial and financial aspects of projects, preparation of quantities, cost advice throughout the project life-cycle, assessment of progress claims and variations, financial reporting, cost control and post-contract cost management.
We are looking for:
- 10+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with NZ experience a must!
- Demonstrable experience working on large-scale commercial construction projects
- Ability to communicate and liaise with contractors and suppliers
- Demonstrable commercial acumen and experienced with relationship management
- Strong leadership skills as you will be responsible for directing intermediate and junior quantity surveyors
