The Company
My client is an established brand and industry leader in their field. They manufacture and distribute across Australasia. Due to an internal movement in their team they require a contract resource for the next 3-6 months.
The Role
In the role of Manufacturing Accountant you will report directly into the Head of Finance. This role is predominantly management accounting as it is focused on the manufacturing and operations side of the business.
Your responsibilities will include the following areas;
Management Accounts
- Month end reporting
- Ownership of the P&L
- Provide in depth analysis on costs and comparisons against budgets & forecasts
Cost Accounting
- Ensuring the Bill of Materials is accurately recorded, actively involved in the costing of new products and the associated set up in systems
- Assist the sales teams with product costings for quotes and tenders
- Review cost updates
Your Profile
To be considered for this role you will come from a manufacturing / costing background. You will have strong excel and analysis skills. Given the amount of engagement involved in this role with multiple stakeholders, you will build relationships with ease and have both strong verbal and written communication skills.
