Aquaheat New Zealand is one of the leading air-conditioning and mechanical services businesses in New Zealand, operating nationwide. As a result of a strong forward work position we are now on the hunt for a motivated, ambitious person to join our Auckland team. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage and report on Mechanical Projects to maximise revenues whilst maintaining quality standards, staff morale and customer relations.
You must have a proven track record in multi-million dollar mechanical services projects, although projects will range in size and complexity. Your ability to apply your skills and experience across the Department, our Site Team, sub-contractors and our clients is vital to your success in the role.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Effective Project Management of assigned projects, delivering on contract requirements, optimising resources and achieving delivery of project on time and to budget
- Co-ordination of detailed design of the project
- Resource Planning
- Manage submissions for equipment and materials approval.
- Negotiate and finalise procurement from suppliers
- Negotiate and finalise sub-contracts
- Attend regular stakeholder meetings
- Quality management of all deliverables within the ANZL scope
- Monitor day to day running of the project
- Manage performance and progress to achieve programme
- Manage performance against cost budget.
- Direct the preparation/submission/follow up of interim valuations, variations to contract and final account
- Obtain practical completion
- Management of remedial works to be completed in the minimum time frame.
Skills and experience required to be successful in the role:
- Desirable to hold a tertiary or equivalent qualification
- Essential to have proven project management experience in major HVAC installations.
- Essential to have track record of contract completion with expected margin, quality and on time delivery.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in the mechanical service/air-conditioning industries either in New Zealand or Internationally.
- High level of computer literacy.
