Calling out to all recent graduates, our client started over 10 years ago and since their inception they have worked on an array of civil projects that have been detrimental to Auckland’s infrastructure and power network, they specialise in various areas of civil works and have an ever-developing pipeline of projects coming up in the near future, this growth has created the need for a graduate engineer to join their team, experience is not essential but first preference will be given to those who have NZ experience in civil construction.
Key tasks you will undertake will include:
- Managing parts of construction project.
- Supervising subcontractors.
- Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings.
- Ensuring the project meets agreed specifications.
- Providing technical advice.
- Problem solving.
- Ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are strictly adhered to.
- QA documentation.
- Communicate effectively, on technical matters between stakeholder groups including various engineering, technical, construction, operations and project groups.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Have a BE qualification or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven practical experience in a contracting environment.
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
- Strong work ethic.
- A good health and safety related track record.
- Ability to communicate effectively with in-house staff, subcontractors and service providers.
- Experience in dealing with clients, consultant engineers, council inspection staff.
You must have a valid NZ work visa and currently be in NZ to be considered for this role!
