One of New Zealand's leading main contractors is in need of a Senior Site Manager to lead their site teams on projects in Auckland. 5+ years' demonstrable experience of working on construction and fit-out projects is essential, applicants will ideally come from a trades background but not essential. The salary for this position is $100-130k dependent on experience, a vehicle is also included with the position (which can be taken as cash instead if so desired). Experience of working with structural steel is highly beneficial, some projects are from the base build and some include seismic strengthening.
The company has a reputation for successfully delivering complex (including, but not limited to), commercial, large scale residential, corporate and retail projects across the country. You will be joining a supportive team who have client satisfaction as the main goal, and are determined to get the job completed to the highest standard.
Applicants must have the following experience:
- 5+ years demonstrable experience of working on construction, interiors projects
- A trades background is essential – being able to monitor and control sub-contractors is key. Trades qualification preferred.
- Strong personality - equipped to confidently represent your employer across multiple projects
- Able to confidently navigate your way around sites and provide technical knowledge to the engineering and building teams.
- Excellent communication skills. You must be able to professionally and assertively convey communication to all involved.
- As this role is site based you will need to be up to date with your knowledge of OH and S guidelines so as to ensure the safety of all on site
