With our current Financial Accountant, moving into another opportunity within Finance we need someone to take over the reins. You will bring solid experience as a Technical Financial Accountant and have knowledge and experience around the latest Accounting Standards.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual. You'll need the following:
- Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- A member of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand or equivalent is preferable.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Public Finance Act, government budget processes and public sector-specific accounting standards and disciplines would be highly advantageous.
- Sound understanding of taxation compliance requirements.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to draw sound conclusions from analyses (root cause).
- Able to build and maintain a range of effective business relationships within Finance, across the organisation and with our external stakeholders.
- Experience using information technology, financial information systems and software in a financial context, particularly in a large and diverse organisation.
- The ability to work under pressure and with little supervision to meet deadlines, set priorities and meet the requirements of management.
You must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
Salary range: $69,171 - $93,585
