About the role:

This role involves supporting the sales of a new line of garment products, executing a new business strategy. You will be involved in the testing and validating the new strategy and will be working closely with our engineering team to recommend new products.

As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for the international B2B sales of StretchSense smart garment products as well as prototyping kits.

Your clients will be garment developers, C-level executives and R&D engineers from leading sports and consumer electronics brands.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills that can influence commercial and technical stakeholders.

  • An ability to resolve client issues and deliver business solutions through a consultative approach.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Passionate about, and can quickly understand, new technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or physics.
  • Experience in B2B sales or experience working in a technology start-up.
  • Fluency in a second language.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to gain a deep understanding of their business needs.
  • Create and pitch compelling sales proposals to win new clients.
  • Actively pursue leads generated by StretchSense marketing efforts through phone, email, and video calls.
  • Prepare quotes and invoices to send to clients.
  • Share client insight to marketing and product staff.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to identify new market opportunities and find ways to add value to the StretchSense product portfolio.
  • Meet sales targets and Key Performance Indicators, and report to the Sales and Marketing Manager.
