JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join the BIC Oceania Sales team, in Auckland New Zealand.
Reporting to the Sales Manager NZ, this position is responsible for all New Zealand field-based accounts for the BIC Oceania business. This role will focus on managing customers, a field sales team and field merchandising agency, to drive sales and distribution growth within New Zealand.
This position is also responsible for a range of specified accounts within BIC Oceania’s business, and requires a high level of professionalism in dealing with customers and also internal cross functional stakeholders.
Your key areas of focus will include:
- Business Development - Sourcing new business leads and effective management of the region.
- Budget - Achievement of financial and non-financial targets.
- Compliance - Drive execution of promotional opportunities, including sales drives, sales promotions, key events and display acquisition.
- Distribution - Increase BIC’s product offer at the point of purchase.
- Market Intelligence - Inform customers, both internal and external, of market trends, pricing and new products.
- Sales team support - Support, coach and develop the national sales function to deliver both financial and non-financial KPI’s.
- Health & Safety Compliance - Follow all steps to ensure a safe environment for self and others.
- Other duties as required.
This role will be based at our Symonds Street office, in Auckland New Zealand and will require travel within New Zealand and to Australia.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
- Industry experience in a Selling and/or Category Development function, ideally within FMCG industry;
- Tertiary qualifications, ideally in business;
- Management of a field sales team;
- Industry experience in a selling function;
- Demonstrates sound financial acumen;
- Impeccable communication and negotiation skills;
- Well-presented and highly motivated;
- Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills;
- Highly autonomous and ambitious;
- Proficient with popular Microsoft applications (specifically excel);
- Current driver’s license.
