The Role

Reporting to the Northern Regional Manager you will have the ability to hit the ground running due to your proven sales experience ideally from within the aluminium and or steel industries, this will also enable a smooth transition for their established customer base. 

The role itself will involve a call cycle plan as well as ensuring that customer’s on-demand requirements are also met.   This opportunity is also a great foundation to learn the business inside and out and would suit someone who is looking to develop their career into a management / senior leadership based position over time.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing clients & prospect new business
  • Continue to build a network of business contacts to gain market intelligence & promote company brand
  • Provide technical advice to customers where necessary & ensure that the correct products & quotes are provided to assist in ensuring that the best value is provided
  • Conduct customer sales analysis by evaluating forecasts & setting realistic objectives for both company & client
  • Ensure that any outstanding accounts are monitored & rectified within appropriate timeframes
  • Participate in special project work when required whilst seeking out new opportunities to improve systems & processes
  • Work towards ensuring high level of health & safety 

     

Skills & Experience

  • Proven sales experience within the aluminium extrusion / metal or steel industries will work to your advantage
  • Overall knowledge of the building & construction industry
  • Ability to nurture existing & develop new business relationships 
  • A strong ability to adapt to technical & measurement requirements
  • Ability to demonstrate that you can handle financial & budgeting requirements
  • Understand that positive team dynamics are the key to success
