Our client is a highly successful Canterbury based civil construction and contracting business.
Due to ongoing business growth, there is now an additional opportunity for an experienced and motivated HR Advisor to build upon and develop systems already in place and move to the next level. This is a key appointment for an established business with an open, positive and transparent culture.
The preferred candidate for the HR Advisor role will be an experienced professional with nous be able to deal effectively with a range of stakeholders, at all levels of the organisation where no two days are the same. The strong expectation is that the role will grow with the business.
Requirements:
- Initiate, coordinate and implement HR systems, policies and procedures
- Work closely with the Department Managers on all HR matters
- Recruitment and induction of new employees throughout Group
- Career Pathways formulation
- Developing Competency Frameworks
- Manage all performance, KPI and disciplinary matters
- Facilitating Learning & Development & Training
- Maintaining accurate records of all HR issues
- Leading Behaviour & Culture Standards
- Udating Employment Agreements & PDs
- Record and manage all leave applications
- Remuneration Reviews
Skills and experience:
- Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources is ideal
- Ability to coordinate and lead HR Best Practice
- Strong familiarity with recruitment, payroll and L&D
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
- Strong process and administration skills
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Energy, drive and enthusiasm
- Pro-active person who takes initiative
- Flexibility, consistency and sense of humour
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail and ability to multi-task
