The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join our innovative and fun team. The team are supportive and experienced giving assistance and guidance as required.

This role will take ownership of software testing and quality on each team that the Senior Test Analyst is involved, ensuring that our delivered software is the appropriate quality for its intended purpose.

Key Accountabilities

• Review all requirements and design documentation. Give feedback around the testability of these documents. Along with the Test Team Lead give input into Test Strategies.
• Own the test strategy for your team, in support of the broader test strategy along with the Test Team Lead.
• Develop Test Plans and approaches
• Highlight testing resource needs or availability on your team
• Design efficient test solutions that balance comprehensive test coverage against time, resource, budget and quality constraints.
• Co-ordinate the design and development of Test Preparation deliverables prior to test execution; Test Requirements, Test Schedules, Test Scenarios and Test Data Beds.
• Carry out the test execution phases of a software release, ensuring that incidents, test coverage and defects are captured accurately.  Ensure on completion of testing that review and closure is performed.
• Provide test status reporting throughout test execution as prescribed in the test plan.
• Ensure that test equipment, environments and software release mechanisms are specified and scheduled.
• Perform integration, regression and performance testing.
• Co-ordination of UAT Testing; providing guidance and assistance where necessary
• Ensure accurate defect management using the defect tracking tool.
• May create or update automated regression test cases as required.
• Perform all the above in accordance with the Yellow SDLC.

To be successful you’ll need:

Essential

• 7+ years of experience as a test analyst including 2+ years of automation experience

Desirable

• Good working knowledge in SQL and XML, web services
• Integration testing experience
• Experience with Automated Test Tools
• Experience doing short delivery cycles like Agile Scrum
• Experience testing web projects preferred
• Previous experience as sole Senior Test Analyst
