We have an incredible opportunity for an ambitious Senior Network Engineer to join our DevOps Team. As part of this team, you will be responsible for the support and maintenance of the existing Auckland Transport Network Infrastructure and Security environments.

Working closely with our pioneer Security Operations Centre, you will provide expertise in the design and implementation of F5, Fortinet and HP networks. You will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of security processes associated with network access and ensure the network meets current and planned business needs.

To be successful, you will have:

• A tertiary degree qualification in Computer Science or Information Systems
• At least 5 years' hands on experience, with a demonstrated knowledge of emerging network technologies
• At least 3 years' experience concentrating on security | F5 | infrastructure | network management
• Exceptional communication skills, able to communicate up and down the management chain, providing the appropriate level of detail, focusing on the key information
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and take action on it

As you will be working in cross-functional teams delivering business outcomes, you will demonstrate the ability to build good relationships across operational teams and project functions, preferably with experience in managing third party providers.
