Our Wellington based client is looking for an experienced and passionate Data Scientist with a solid understanding of data environments and how to turn data into useful business outcomes.

You will have a pivotal role in this team, helping to ensure that data is used appropriately to help both the business and customers. The key is that you can think on your feet and make decisions about what the data can and can't be used for.

The key skills and experience required for this position are as follows:

• An excellent knowledge of data science
• At least three years of data science work
• Passion for discovery, problem solving and making improvements.
• Experience with Qlik, Tableau, or Visual Analytics for data visualisation
• A knowledge of programming languages such as: SQL, Python, SAS, etc.
• Experience with advanced techniques such as - machine learning, artificial intelligence and statistical modelling techniques
• Consulting experience is a bonus!
• You need a tertiary qualification in maths, stats, computer science or a similar discipline
• Good communications skills, an excellent team player who values collaboration.
