The role:

• Design and scope solutions leveraging AWS and Azure Cloud – define the platform and standardise technology
• Lead / implement standards and framework for solutions
• Develop technical designs that challenge the status-quo and support customer innovation with improved tooling, smoother operations and a better capability to disrupt their market 
• Use a solutions based approach to providing technical guidance and commercial support to the relevant sales and delivery teams, including engagement with third party vendors 
• Solve customer pain points by leveraging the latest in software and infrastructure architectural approaches to quickly deliver value to customers.
• Drive the technical qualification, scoping, estimation, design and architecture of new or existing opportunities and projects working with the delivery team to ensure that they are well architected and deliverable
• Communicate proactively and effectively with customers, partners and internal staff 
• Employ project management skills to work with project teams at project kick off to deliver successful customer outcomes 
• Work closely with internal teams to assist with improving delivery processes wherever possible, ensuring we continue to exceed customer expectations 
• Draw on broad technical knowledge and experience and apply to projects and opportunities to further develop the wider consulting and pre-sales team
• Proactively lead and mentor team members in meeting deadlines, setting customer expectations and jointly developing technical skills

Desired Skills and Experience:

• A consultative, friendly yet focused approach to sales
• Strong digital/web/online large scale cloud-based, solution design and implementation experience
• Strong AWS or Azure skills and experience (design & implementation of both lift and shift and CI/CD projects)
• Have come from a software development background
• Project Management experience
• The ability to lead and mentor teams
• Experience in DevOps methodologies
