This is a high priority " IT project that will see you involved in supporting an Oracle 12c upgrade project within a major government development on behalf of a leading Wellington based management consultancy.
We're looking for an accomplished Project Manager who has strong technical skills to manage the overall programme of work, but also has a proven experience in delivering a technology change project that encapsulated managing a significant number of stakeholders – successfully! With multiple Oracle RDMS databases and associated applications, these need to be migrated to their new Oracle 12c infrastructure that is already established.
It's likely you'll have a minimum of 10+ years direct work experience in an IT project management capacity, including all aspects of diligence project planning, possess exceptional attention to detail and superior interpersonal skills able to manage the complexity associated with multiple stakeholders, focusing on communications, risk management, financial and progress reporting.
You will have general project management responsibilities including delivery of multiple work streams as part of a large portfolio of work, you will be involved in initiation and detailed planning through solution delivery to handover, you must be able to navigate a highly governed and structured environment and manage interdependencies between workstreams, projects and programmes.
The organisation is change ready, approval in place for the project funding and now we need a Project Manage to plan, engage, drive and manage via a well-defined project management methodology.
