The Opportunity

Deloitte’s SAP consulting team works with organisations of all sizes and industries, aiming to help clients transform their business through creating improved workflows and synergies across their day to day operations. With the nature of relationships we hold as trusted advisors and implementation specialists, we are searching for a talented, finance savvy SAP Consultant to join our Auckland or Wellington office. Ideally you will have a proven background implementing SAP FICO solutions with a diverse range of clients/industries, a strong understanding of best practice Finance business processes and come from an accounting background. What is essential is experience implementing SAP FICA or PSCD.

About You

To be effective in this role you will have a passion for collaborative working, finding innovative solutions and helping others to develop. You will thrive on continual challenge and learning, and have an inquisitive nature to deliver the best practice solutions for your clients.

You will have the ability to establish, build and maintain successful relationships and are adept at working directly with clients from C level to the warehouse floor. You pride yourself on providing the same high quality service that is expected and delivered from one of New Zealand’s largest and most respected professional services firm

Your skills which sets you a part from the crowd;

• Advanced functional configuration skills in SAP FICO, in particular experience with FICA or PSCD. Experience configuring S/4 HANA (Simple Finance) would be ideal but not essential.
• Expert understanding of best practice Finance business processes. Past experience as a qualified accountant or similar would be advantageous but not essential.
• Delivered at least 2 full lifecycle SAP programme, locally or internationally. Greenfield implementation experience will be advantageous.
• Possess excellent stakeholder management skills across all levels from users to CxO level. Must have a proven ability to lead/facilitate requirements gathering workshops and manage change issues that arise.
• Ability to translate business language to technical specifications (and vice versa) is essential.
• Experience in business development including networking, relationship building and responding to procurement/presales processes. Background in a large Tier 1 consulting organisation is ideal.
• Demonstrate an ability to act as a role model, supporting and aligning your team to the strategic objectives, to ensure successful delivery of projects on time and budget using the latest tools and techniques.
