Southern Cross Hospitals is the largest private surgical hospitals network in New Zealand. Our National Office has an opportunity for an energetic customer focused individual to join the Information Services Service Desk Team.

Purpose

The Service Desk is the first point of contact for all technology services provided within our busy hospitals. This function is crucial for the smooth interaction between hospitals end users and service teams. The IS Service Desk Analysts core responsibilities include:

• The accurate logging, management and resolution of Incidents, Requests, and Problems
• Assisting with the logging of system Changes
• Level 1 Support for all IS Services
• Deployment of IS systems and associated hardware
• Onsite support as necessary
• Some project work as required

Candidates will ideally have the following attributes:

• Current experience working in a service and support role
• Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a corporate environment
• Knowledge of a wide range of desktop technologies, including Windows 7, Microsoft Office, printing, networking, Citrix, email services, VOIP, hardware support, application support, wireless technologies, cell phone and mobile technologies
• Knowledge of ITIL and associated service management best practices
• Knowledge of hospital or health sector environments would be an advantage
