AUT's ICT Services directorate is one of NZ's largest and an outstanding team that won the supreme award at the Microsoft Tertiary ICT Excellence and Innovation Awards in 2017 (for the third time!). With over 150 staff committed to the mission of AUT, ICT Services holds responsibility for the technology supporting over 30,000 educators, researchers and students in New Zealand's only University of Technology.
We are urgently seeking a Senior UX Designer to work on our student management system and other bespoke projects to help change the way our 28,000 students engage with AUT. Using cutting edge architecture, our multi-award winning software development team are leading transformational projects. You will be working on conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and use the information to create user personas, sitemaps, customer journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes.
What we're looking for:
- At least 6 years' experience in UX design, software background and web design, be able to display evidence of wireframes and products you've designed
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and customers to achieve understanding and action
- Proven experience in influencing and relationship management with an ability to balance and manage diverse stakeholder interests
- The ability to work in an agile environment
