Your new company in a nutshell:
This is a medium sized, NZ owned business who are international leaders in their market. They are a highly innovative organisation developing data driven web and mobile products and utilising Amazon Web Services.
What will you do?
As a Network and Systems Engineer, you will maintain, monitor, troubleshoot and enhance a complex Cisco environment. You will also implement changes and upgrades to the Linux systems and Infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to further hone you skills with Linux integration into a cloud storage environment. With many of the servers in AWS, you will get the chance to work on these. 60% of your day will be on new environment builds, 40% on service requests/break fix.
Your background:
- CCNP certification is preferred or another relevant tertiary qualification
- Knowledge and experience with firewalls, load balancers, Windows and Linux systems, remote access gateways and VOIP systems
- Previous experience within a complex Cisco network environment
- Experience with AWS and Linux
- Knowledge of scripting languages - ideally ANSIBLE and another language
