The Data Analytics & AI team is rapidly growing and as a result we are looking for talented and experienced individuals to join the team.
As the Team Lead - Analytics, you'll be responsible for leading the team responsible for development, delivery and ongoing maintenance of analytic assets and initiatives across IAG NZ in a centre of excellence capacity. Your collaborative style will see you successful working across the business, helping them in the proper use of data and ensuring the delivery of optimal analytical assets and insights. Taking a business partner approach, you'll strengthen the position of the Analytics Platform and enable development of data-driven strategies and programmes of work.
What you'll be doing:
- Analytics - Lead the build, optimization, management and documentation of processes for data discovery, intake, exploration, validation and mining as well as modeling and visualization; develop and embed frameworks; lead cross functional projects; own the analytics pipeline management process and build analytical assets and data products; be the SME for Analytics
- Team leadership & culture - drive a high performance culture, recruit, train, develop & coach; empower and lead by example; contribute to Data Guild
- Risk Management - develop and monitor key controls; develop, implement and embed quality controls
What you'll bring to the role:
- 7 plus years' relevant experience in significant information enabled organisation
- Knowledge and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analysing data, developing measurement frameworks, drawing conclusions and developing recommendations
- Powerful communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic mindset with attention to detail
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude, comfortable with ambiguity
- Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously.
- Advanced SQL, Tableau and Power BI experience is desired
Project Management skills within an agile environment will be an advantage.
