You will be part of a progressive planning and environment team working closely with the technical specialists in the transportation, environmental and land development fields.
Key responsibilities associated with the role will include:
- Management of a diverse range of planning projects
- Liaising with Council, Local Boards and key stakeholders to discuss and present the company's applications
- Building sound relations with key stakeholders, regulators, Iwi and environmental groups
- Input into regional and national strategy
- Delivering work to a high standard and quality, on-time
- Enhancing the capabilities and capacity of the Planning Team by providing expert advice and facilitating technical and specialist services
Reporting to the Planning Manager, the ideal candidate will have the following:
- A tertiary qualification in a planning/resource management or related discipline from an NZPI accredited institution;
- Membership of the NZ Planning Institute is desirable
- Professional experience of over 8 years
- Strong communication and presentation skills;
- A proven track record of sound strategic judgement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer focus, and a concern for excellence and quality
