About the roles
Barnardos administrators have varied and interesting jobs providing general administrative support and customer service for internal and external customers.
Key responsibilities
- debt management of overdue accounts
- greet customers, assist or direct queries to the appropriate person
- data entry, filing and invoicing parents, ensuring all relevant information is accurately and securely maintained
- auditing files to ensure compliance
Skills and experience
You will be an outstanding, well-organised and efficient Administrator excited about making a difference for children. To undertake this role you will have:
- previous experience in an administrative role (ideally in the not-for-profit sector)
- proven planning and organisation skills
- assisted with project work
- a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- great communication skills, both verbal and written
- confidence working with numbers and using accounting software
- NCEA Level 2 or above (or equivalent qualification)
- experience using Microsoft Office products and a typing speed of more than 55 words per minute.
