Advanced Building Services Wellington Ltd (ABS) undertakes maintenance, repair, engineering, upgrade and alteration works on HVAC mechanical, electrical and hydraulic services for the owners of commercial buildings. Our portfolio includes some of Wellington's most prestigious and technically advanced sites.
Our busy Contracting and Engineering Team is responsible for the delivery of large and complex upgrade and alteration projects in many of the buildings we maintain. We need all systems go and this team knows how to get things done and make things happen.
As the administrative hub of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the team is fully supported by:
- Tender monitoring and pricing assistance
- Job preparation, management, reporting and documentation
- Raising quotes, purchase orders and job numbers
- Resource (personnel) administration including scheduling and timesheets
- Monitoring and reporting of work forecasts and work in progress
- Assisting with reconciling and monitoring customer accounts
- Preparing monthly Progress Claims and invoices for contracting and engineering jobs
- Managing retention claims and requests for release of retention monies
- Other administration functions as required
Critical for your success in the role:
- Proven experience in a similar role and fast paced environment
- Trade or construction sector experience/exposure desirable
- Workflow and job management coordination experience
- Excellent numerical and administration skills
- Resource allocation and scheduling experience desirable
- The ability to multi task and an eye for detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A curious and questioning mind
- Highly organised and systems orientated
- A "can do", flexible and proactive approach with a positive attitude
- Strong computer skills
- Must be legally able to work in New Zealand
