About the role

You will be joining our Intensive Support Home for high needs young people that provides accommodation and support services for a teenage client with high and complex needs. Working closely with Oranga Tamariki - Ministry of Children, you will join this client on their reintegration journey, providing a safe environment and supporting them with their goals and daily tasks.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for someone who is positive, flexible, vibrant, confident and compassionate to work in our service. You'll naturally be a problem solver, quick thinker and enjoy connecting with the community in line with the reintegration plan. You'll use your non judgemental attitude and belief to encourage clients to change and grow.

What you need:

  • Experience working as a Mental Health Support Worker or Youth Worker is essential
  • It's desirable that you'll have a NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent qualification, however if you're passionate about our organisation and you're willing to work towards a qualification we'll support you as much as we can
  • It's essential that you have a full New Zealand driver's licence
  • Strong computer skills, a 'can-do' attitude and be able to demonstrate strong personal and professional boundaries
  • Flexible in the hours you can work as the service operates seven days a week
