Casual Positions available for Extraordinary People
The Laura Fergusson Trust Canterbury is an independent, not-for-profit community and residential rehabilitation service provider based in several properties in the Ilam area. We specialise in providing rehabilitation services for younger people who have suffered or acquired traumatic brain injury. Laura Fergusson Trust also provides long term residential support for younger people with a variety of congenital and neurological diseases across different sites.
We have exciting opportunities for those who wish to join a progressive and leading organisation in this field for work over the summer or want to explore a career in this area. We invite you to join our team beginning on a casual basis. This position requires flexibility as working hours can cover all shifts across the day in this 24/7 service, including night shifts.
We have a large team all requiring a regular holiday and our team of casual staff is a vital and valuable resource.
Our starting casual rate is $19.80 to $24.50 per hour depending on qualifications.
Only applications with NZ Citizen or Permanent Residency will be considered.
We are looking for people with the following abilities and skills:
- The ability to support people to achieve their goals
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with others
- The ability to provide personal care and support with empathy and compassion
- Good time management and personal organisation
- Must be competent in the use of information technology
- Full drivers' license essential
