Education Leader Position

This employment opportunity is for a person who is passionate about promoting the vision and values of our Centre, engaging in and inspiring high quality, reflective practice. This community organisation serves the healthcare community to provide an optimal learning environment for all.

Profile:

This position is for an inspirational, qualified and registered teacher, ideally with leadership experience, to work with and alongside the Management Committee, Centre Director, Pedagogical Leaders, kaiako, whanau and tamariki to develop collaborative and engaging ECE and Out of School Programmes throughout the Centre.

Key responsibilities:

• Working knowledge of NZ EC Regulations 2008 and current trends of EC in NZ.
• Ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are met.
• Engage in regular performance conversations with staff.
• Facilitate reviews of all policies and procedures.
• Understand the governance role and actively support the committee.
• Promote the vision of the Centre.
• Explore new initiatives that will further develop relationships with whanau.
• Working knowledge of current theories and practice.

• Effective verbal and written communications in English at an academic  level.
