New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC) has been providing comprehensive and professional programs of study to enable students to excel in their chosen field for over 35 years. An opportunity has arisen at the college for someone who has experience in guiding and supporting students to join the NZTC Pastoral Support Team.
As Pastoral Support you will play a key role in supporting all student pastoral issues including: student liaison and support, student orientation, maintain overview of student progress, identify student personal and pastoral issues and provide positive resolutions.
The successful applicant will:
- Be well organised and have an attention to detail
- Have strong empathy and communication skills
- Have the ability to maintain a calm, supportive and cheerful disposition
- Have a commitment to values based decision making and problem solving
- Possess a professional and discrete approach
Preferred:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Have experience working with diverse groups including international students
