Warehouse and Distribution Manager

The Role:
We are seeking a "hands on" high performer with exceptional Warehouse and Distribution Management experience. Reporting to the National Operations Manager. You will lead a small efficient but very professional Warehouse team. As a member of the Management team with overall responsibility of the warehouse operations you will be involved in strategy discussions, budgeting, planning and business development.
The Successful Applicant:
To be part of this high performing team, you will need to have proven experience in a warehouse management environment to enable you to maximise the opportunity of leading a team of approximately 6 staff across 2 split shifts which covers a 12 hour day, with occasional weekend work as required. You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership ability, managing performance and culture and leading a team from the front.
You will require proficiency in using “SAP and all Microsoft products” and be able to demonstrate an analytical aptitude alongside your warehousing and best practice industry knowledge. You will be a strategic thinker, solution focussed and able to work well as part of a wider team to implement and improve processes within the warehouse and greater team.
Expertise:
- Planning and organising daily work schedules
- Daily management of workflow dashboards
- Continuous improvement
- Planning and managing warehouse, logistics, transportation and customer services.
- Sound systems operational knowledge of inwards & outwards warehouse processes managed by electronic information.
- Warehouse Management System development and process improvement using RF scanning technology.
- People management skills and HR resource planning and development.
- Stock management of 36,000 SKU’s, daily inventory control checks, managing six monthly stocktakes.
- Meeting order picking, despatch and delivery deadlines for the retail store Network via courier and line haul freight companies.
- Department P&L responsibility and managing costs within budget.
Salary: Remuneration package between $80,000 to $90,000 based on previous experience.
